Welcome to the Landgrid Data Store – Your One-Stop Shop for all things parcel data!
Ever need to download data from Landgrid to use in another program?
You can now visit landgrid.com/store to purchase parcel data for any individual county in the country, either as a spreadsheet or as the full shapefile with parcel geometry, with the option to add premium fields including vacancy and building counts.
The process is very straightforward. You will see exactly which fields are available for a county and when it was last refreshed, you can download a data sample for that county, and all you have to do is pay by credit card to immediately download the data in your preferred format.

With this launch, we have made it even easier for you to license our comprehensive parcel data from us - without any hassles or delays.
Here is the pricing:
- $100 for a spreadsheet of all Standard property information in any county
- $200 for a county spreadsheet of all Premium property information, including vacancy and building counts
- $200 for a shapefile of all Standard property information and parcel geometry in any county
- $400 for a county shapefile of all Premium property information and parcel geometry, including vacancy and building counts
To take all of the mystery out of it, here’s exactly how the Landgrid Data Store experience works:
- Open the data store – landgrid.com/store. Here you will find our coverage map on the right. Green indicates places that we have data for and yellow indicates places that we are working on adding data for this year. You can also find our data dictionary of our standard schema and our coverage report for your review on the overview page. We encourage you to clearly assess the schema and the coverage report to ensure you know exactly what you would get from our data.
- On the overview tab, at the bottom you will find all the states listed. Based on the data you are looking for, you can select the state either here or from the coverage map.
- Once you select a state, you will find a list of all the counties in the state. When you are on the county page, make sure to download a “Sample” of the data for that county. We want to give you everything you need to make an informed decision before purchasing the data.
- Once you are convinced that you are getting what you need, select the counties & the data format you want and simply “Add to Cart”. Add a credit card and complete the transaction. Don’t worry. Our transactions are PCI compliant and your payment information remains secure.
- You will instantly receive a confirmation email with your order details and a link to download your files. Follow the link and voila, your parcel data files at your door step in no time at all. Please note that this link stays active for a month, so be sure to download your files before the link expires.

We’ve recently updated our basemap here at LandGrid and it’s a pretty big change from what we had online before!
Let’s take a dig through some of the different changes we’ve made to help improve your LandGrid experience.
The most noticeable change is that we now have a lighter base color, to improve parcel legibility, as well as making it easier to see at the state level what places are online or not online. This was one of the main bits of feedback we received on our previous basemap, and we’re happy to report we think this really improves the visibility in general. We’ve also improved the city hierarchy on the map to provide a bit more legibility in terms of population size, and also by which cities are shown at different zoom levels.
We’ve also changed the color coding of underlying land uses to subtler hues, especially in areas where there’s public lands or forests underneath the parcels. Here’s a side by side example of the same area within Midtown Detroit, using the old and new basemaps.
We’ve also updated the base streets layer provided by Mapbox in our map, in order to provide more up to date street names and layouts, in order to keep pace with rapid development in some areas. We’ve also changed the way we visualize highway and expressway icons, and now use the official icons for these types of roads. You can see the difference in these two screenshots from the catch-all boxes we had before.
The final big change, and a really exciting one personally, is much better transit wayfinding and icon placement on the map. This includes custom transit icons in certain cities, and better airport icon indicators. Below is an example, using Center City Philadelphia and various SEPTA and trolley stops.

Wow, it's February already and boy do we have some serious Landgrid platform updates for you!
1. Single User Accounts - Those of you who have been with us from the start, you know that Landgrid Pro & Free accounts are our affordable, single user accounts primarily meant to explore our nationwide parcel dataset. We have made a few updates to these accounts, recently:
- Landgrid Free - Free has been our flagship parcel viewer for a while, and remains that way. However, Free is now restricted to just viewing and exploring parcel records. You will not be able to query & style the data any longer. We have found that most of our Free users love to use free for just that - looking up parcel data uninterrupted and learning about properties that they care about.
- Landgrid Pro - Pro just got bigger and better with the recent addition of Buildings data & footprints layer which is available only for Pro & above customers. Not only can you view buildings on top of parcels now, you can also see:
- Buildings Count - Number of buildings per parcel
- Buildings Sq Footage - How much of a parcel is covered by a building
- Vacant Lots - When you filter by buildings count and set Max = ‘0’ on the filter, you will be able to see all the vacant lots in your geography.
How cool is that!!
Apart from that, another change that we recently made was to cap the number of projects & surveys to a maximum of 5 per user.
We found that most of our customers preferred to make 4-5 maps & surveys on average anyway.
Rest assured, those of you who already have more than 5 projects & surveys right now that they will remain intact. You will however not be able to create new projects unless you delete an existing project.
- Concurrent Logins - As we have always advertised, Free and Pro are meant to be single user accounts. As a result, we recently updated our systems to allow no more than 2 concurrent logins/devices/browsers at a time per user.
If you attempt a 3rd login, you will be asked to sign out of one of your active sessions to enable another login session.
Please let us know if you currently have multiple users logged in or multiple logins that you are not able to track and log out of. We can sign you out on our end. However, in future, please try to limit your concurrent sessions to a maximum of 2 to avoid getting signed out.
2. Multi User Accounts - While the Free & Pro accounts are designed to be single-user accounts, we also offer scalable multi-user accounts that allows multiple members of your team & projects to have their own individual login credentials to the same account:
- Landgrid Team
- Landgrid Enterprise
Landgrid Team is the baseline of what our enterprise accounts could do and works well for projects that need multiple users, surveyors but not a lot of custom work or requirements.
Team account also allows you to export up to 50K rows of spreadsheet data with USPS and buildings data too.
Email us at email@example.com if you want an upgrade to Team, it takes us just a few seconds to set that up for you!
However, for those of you who have very specific needs for a project that cannot be solved with straight out of the box solutions, then Landgrid Enterprise is the solution for you.
What can we do with Enterprise, you ask???
- Custom data integration & imports - Bring your data, no matter the size, scale & type of data and we will clean it up and import it on Landgrid so you can have all your data in 1 place!
- Custom work, site, maps & interface - We know one size/design doesn’t fit all. People of Landgrid Parcel Data,
A summary of updates in December of 2019 and the upcoming pipeline for the month of January is below. Updated means the data was pulled from the source usually in the past 30 days and is in the latest version of the Loveland Standard Schema.
Buildings count & sq footage per parcel - This week we introduced 2 new premium attributes to our data - buildings count & sq footage per parcel. We derived these columns and they indicate how many buildings there are per parcel and how much area of the parcel is occupied by the building. This is part of our premium tier, much like the USPS vacancy columns. You can read up more about these columns in our Parcel Data FAQ's.

USPS Vacancy, Residential indicators, and situs address normalization - Will be updated in January and made available in the dataset the first part of February. This means you can expect a full dataset export from us next month as every record will have been processed through the latest USPS dataset and the situs address status, and formatted address if available, will be updated in our data.
GeoDB File Format Deprecated - We plan to offer GeoDB files for the first 3 months of 2020 and then stop updating that file format. We encourage people to switch to the GeoPackage (.gpkg.zip) files as they offer all the advantages of GeoDB. See below. We are planning on retiring the GeoDB format in Q2 of 2020. Please contact us if it will not be possible to migrate to another file format in that time frame.
New GeoPackage Format Available - GeoPackage or GeoPKG, (.gpkg) files support geospatial data very well, with none of the limitations of shapefiles, and are faster to work with than geojsons. They are well supported by Esri tools and open source tools alike. They offer all the advantages of GeoDB files, but are better supported across the GIS tool landscape. As we sunset the GeoDB format this will be the format we suggest folks use unless a specific use case suggests another format would be better for them. (ND)GeoJSON, sql, csv, and shapefile formats will all continue to be options.

For all full dataset customers, the updated data is available for download to bulk data clients in these formats: GeoPKG .gpkg (suggested), GeoJSON, Shapefile, and Postgres SQL files. In addition, this data has been updated on the landrid.com website.
